Cain & Crossan Opening Reception
Painting Meets Photography
Whether it’s an urban landscape crumbling over time or layers of fresh paint showing a vibrant history, these two artists find a solution to satisfy their need to find beauty within every moment of history, tiny remnant, or anxiety that presents itself. This exhibit will feature new works from painter, Dana Crossan, and photographer, Amelia Cain. The painter and the photographer; two artists, two different mediums, boldly able to capture images of transient beauty, finding the emotional reflection of their own everyday.
7:30-8:30pm | BYOB
plus, complimentary Sterling Pig Brewery Beer
MAC welcomes back the timeless and talented Johnny Never for an evening of Delta blues music. Johnny Never is well known in the Philadelphia area for his inspired interpretations of 20th century Delta blues songs as well as his own original compositions. At the core of his playing is a deep grounding in the blues tradition and its many regional iterations, and he has honed his style for many years at Media’s blues festivals and monthly engagements at Lotus Restaurant in Media, Nora Lee’s in New Castle, and many other places. In a contemporary blues scene with no shortage of mechanical imitators, Johnny Never truly distinguishes himself as a soulful and sincere interpreter who has kept the powerful treasury of American blues music fresh and vital with the deftness and emotion of his playing and singing.
