Tracy Bouvette has developed his unique style of painting, which includes acrylic and mixed media pieces, over the decades - living in places such as Columbine, Colorado and Newtown, Connecticut. He received his formal training at Rice University in studio art and art history, with particular formative direction from Basilios Poulos and Carol Badner. His most recent sabbatical in Colorado led to a fascination with the prairie, and the gnarled survivalist form of the stately cottonwood trees that dot its landscape. He is currently exploring a new palette informed by the lush colors of the Pennsylvania landscape.
