Metal Jewelry Making

Time: 7-8:30pm
Sample jewelry metalworking. You will learn how to use the jeweler’s saw, how to cold connect metals with half formed tube rivets, simple dapping, hammer texturing, simple patina, and finishing skills.  Learn to turn your ideas into beautiful jewelry.

Drawing for Beginners

Instructor: Catelyn Gipe 

Cost: $120
6 weeks | Thursdays 1/26/2017-3/2/2017
Time: 6-8pm
This class is a beginner course for drawing. Class one starts with the basic Elements and Principles for Design, and the classes progress to include drawing landscapes and self portraits.

Participants are asked to bring sketching supplies such as pencils and a sketchbook or paper to each class.


The Art of Magic

Instructor: Bill McElvenney magic

6 weeks | Wednesdays 1/16/2017 – 2/26/2017
Time: 6-8pm
The principle focus of this course will be ring and rope magic. This will cover both the mechanics of the magic but also important elements of presentation. Card magic will also be included covering elements of basic card handling to magical effects. This course will not require special props – most items are readily available. A deck of cards will be needed. As an aid to instruction and review, video taping is not only permitted but encouraged. The creation of narratives for performance will also be covered.
