M.A.C. had another successful 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll this past weekend, and we hope that those of you who were able to make it had a great time. The Midnighters performed at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union to an appreciative crowd. And art and music could be found throughout State Street.
If you haven’t been to 2nd Saturday in a while, let us remind you what it’s like… Our Main Event is a paid act, often a musical performance in the Franklin Mint. All ages are invited to enjoy the show. M.A.C. offers maps highlighting all participating businesses in downtown Media and the arts display/performance/activity they are hosting so you can easily find your way to a great breadth of art. Businesses stay open late and welcome visitors, shoppers, and diners. Most months there is some kind of children’s activity such as the Sinfully Delicious cookie decorating this month.
M.A.C. hosts the 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll to continue to bring accessible art to Media residents and visitors, to support local artists by providing them with ongoing opportunities to share their passions, and to support the businesses of downtown Media. We do this, as well as coordinating and promoting other arts opportunities, through a group of volunteers who recognize the value 2nd Saturday brings to the Media community. If you haven’t been to 2nd Saturday in a while, please join us in June! And if you’d like to help 2nd Saturday and other arts events to continue, please contact us to get involved, or become a Patron of M.A.C!
