Last Chance is a traditional and contemporary folk-roots fusion duo that consists of singer-songwriter and guitarist/banjo player Jack Scott and fiddler Ingrid Rosenback. The group performs original songs and folk and bluegrass classics and is available for large and smaller gigs.
Armed with an acoustic guitar, a 5-string banjo and an appreciation for folk music, good rock and roll, bluegrass and other musical variations, Jack has been venturing into songwriting for years. Since 2001 he has served as self appointed “banjo-boy” for the Wilmington based band, Whirled Peas. His original songs, which number almost 200, have been recorded by Whirled Peas on each of the groupʼs four CDs, by band-mate John Frink (on Johnʼs solo CD, Cabin Fever on Crocodile Tunes), and by Jack on his own 5 demo CDs. He is excited to be part of Last Chance. He lives in Wallingford with his wife Diane and has two grown daughters.
Classical violinist turned fiddler and sometimes singer, Ingrid is a freelance musician with Heartstrings Entertainment and La Folia Strings. She moonlights as a fiddler for Whirled Peas Band, Just Roses and now teaming up with Jack in Last Chance. She teaches violin at Philadelphia's Temple Music Prep, The Music School of Delaware and in her home studio. She lives in Swarthmore with her harpsichord builder husband John Brodsky and their two musical children and they have been hosting Candlelight Concerts for 15 years.
