Media Arts Council and Gallery invites regional artists to submit works for this year’s juried painting exhibition. The Media Arts Council welcomes all professional artists to submit images of paintings relating to their interpretation of the theme “Emergence.”

Please bring an artist’s statement and short bio when delivering.

ENTRY FEES: There is a $35.00 entry fee for one to three artworks entered, presentation is by JPG image files. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional artwork. Limit of five artworks permitted. Please submit images in jpeg format at 300dpi with no side exceeding 1900 pix. Online registration only (see below). Payments by credit card at time of entry. Entry fee is non-refundable.
ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: The competition is open to all regional professional painters. Paintings must be created using traditional media such as oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media. Video, photography, graphic, digital or sculptural work will not be accepted at this time. All work must be original, completely finished, wired, and ready to hang. Maximum size for pieces is approximately 48” x 60”. Please label the back of each piece with your name and the title of the work. Failure to follow instructions may result in the nullification of your entry.
Accepted works must remain on exhibit for the duration. Artwork accepted into our previous juried exhibits cannot be resubmitted.
SALES/COMMISSION: Gallery takes 40% of sales
LIABILITY: While every effort to properly care for work is made, the Media Arts Council is not responsible for the loss or damage of work while in transit or during the exhibition. Artists should provide their own insurance coverage. Submission into the exhibition indicates acceptance of these conditions. A Hold Harmless Agreement will be signed upon delivery of your work.

NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than April 1, 2021 via email address submitted at time of entry.
Please submit one digital image for each piece of artwork. Files should each be named as follows:
Last Name_First Initial_Title_# of entry (Example: Crossan_D_Sunset_1)
Files which are mislabeled or lack the artist’s name will not be viewed by the juror.
No POR (price on request) sales. Work not for sale must be marked NFS in the price section of the submission form.
