“Lifestyle of Ancient Egyptians”.
Ancient Egypt was a highly civilized society, however a person’s daily life very much depended on the class into which he or she was born. This is demonstrated through the family life, clothing, and social classes of the people. Today, we can still see the many ways Ancient Egypt has impacted our modern society.
This lecture presentation will take you in a journey into the ancient Egyptian daily life. Questions are always encouraged during and after the lecture.
There will be a display of artifacts adjacent to the lecture and Egyptian crafts for sale.
This event is $20 for the lecture presentation and question and answer session to follow.
About Sherin Motawea
Sherin is originally from Egypt. She is a graduate of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management in Egypt where she learned about Egyptology. In 1998 Sherin obtained her first Masters of Art in Museum and Heritage Studies from the University College London, U.K. . She then became the Head of the Egyptian Museums Department at the Supreme Council of Antiquities under the supervision of the renowned Egyptologist Dr. Hawass. She conducted a number of educational programs for all ages in Egyptian museums and participated in the exhibition planning of new museums. In 2011 she finished a semester of Masters of Fine Arts in Museum Exhibition Planning & Design, University of The Arts in Philadelphia. She is a proud mother of a 5 and 6 years old daughters
