Better Than Bacon Improv is a short form improv comedy troupe based in West Chester, PA. Improv comedy, as we say in our show openers, is a one-time only performance. We work without a script or a net. What you see in one show will never be seen again.

When liberal talk show host Ben Simmons brings the infamous gay "right wing" loud mouth, Constantine Verrand on his show, the controversy it causes could cost him his friends, his partner, and his beloved show.

MAC’s monthly jazz performance series featuring young jazz musicians from area high schools and universities as well as a house band of professional jazz musicians. Led by saxophonist Chris Oatts he and local rhythm section will kick off the performance by playing a few selections, and local area high school combos will be invited to perform for and sit in with the professionals. Each performance will have a featured guest artist or theme of the month.

Attention mystery lovers! Join MAC and spoken word production company Lingua Obscura at the Towne House for an original audio performance of The Man in the Brown Suit, an exciting mystery novel by the queen of crime, Agatha Christie.

This session will focus on the transitional form: the prose poem. What strengths does this form borrow from poetry, from prose? Writers with both/either poetry and prose experience are welcome to join us.

The Media Arts Council (MAC) Play Reading Series creates a space for local playwrights to hear their work read by talented actors and receive feedback from a public audience. The only regular new play reading series in in the area, it brings exciting new stories to Delaware County.
