Philadelphia based Gumbo Nouveau’s music is rooted in the traditions of New Orleans and Caribbean jazz, incorporating elements of reggae, calypso, samba and more. This performance celebrates the release of their new album which features 13 tracks including original songs by all four members of the band as well as a new take on a classic Caribbean folk song and a live track from one of their popular Harry Belafonte covers. The band will play two sets including selections from the new album and other material.
