About the Play:
Lisa and Sebastian were a successful romantic comedy playwriting team and lovers whose professional and personal relationships unraveled, crashed, and burned. After several years apart, they are thrown together by a producer to create a revival play. As they try to recapture their signature spark, their characters revolt as the lines between reality and fantasy blur.
About the Playwright:
Julie Zaffarano is a Philadelphia area playwright. Her passions are exploring personal truths and creating strong roles for women. She is a founder of the Media Arts Council Play Reading Series. Julie is a nationally produced playwright. Recent recognitions include: Finalist, Terrence McNally Award; Two times Semi Finalist, O’Neill National Playwrights Conference; Finalist, Veterans Repertory Theatre; Best Production, Pittsburgh New Work Festival; Winner, Best New Work, What if Productions. About the Series:
The Media Arts Council (MAC) Play Reading Series was created by playwrights Julie Zaffarano, Dave Ebersole, and Keenya Jackson, in partnership with the MAC to create a space for local playwrights to hear their work read by talented actors and receive feedback from a public audience. The only regular new play reading series in in the area, it brings exciting new stories to Delaware County.
